My son received this baseball walkie-talkie set as a birthday gift.



This walkie-talkie retails on eBay for $9.99. And I can see why. It stinks.



After opening the back of the walkie-talkies with an eyeglasses screwdriver and inserting brand new 9-volt batteries (not included), my son, wife, and I tried for 15 minutes to get them to work. The walkie-talkies had a screeching static noise. No volume control. And we couldn't hear each other whether we were 5 feet, 15 feet, 25 feet, 50 feet, inside, outside. I have never seen a product not work so much.
